Get in-depth with 3D printing in this 8 hour course over 4 Saturdays. Learn to master 3D printing from the mechanical structure and parts to the design, file preparation, and interface. Enhance your knowledge of 3D printers by exploring different ways of generating a 3D model, such as 3D scanning and mesh mixing existing models. Learn about FDM (Fuse Deposition Modeling) Printers and SLA (Stereolithography) Printers through hands-on activities to achieve the best result for the project you have in mind.

Day 1: Hardware and maintenance

Day 2: File, software, and interface

Day 3: 3D scanning, mesh mixing, and additional resources

Day 4: Post production for prints

Review everything we covered and finish printing the final designs. Talk about the membership at Fab Lab so the guest can know how to join if they are interested in future projects. Go over anything the students still have questions on.

This is a family-friendly camp, recommended for ages 7+ and a parent chaperone is allowed with each ticket purchase.
