Recommended for ages 7-12.

In this 2-hour workshop, we will be exploring the wonderful world of clay animation using moldable play-doh. Clay animation got its start way back in 1897 when modeling clay was invented. Artists began to sculpt characters out of clay with wire frames inside so that they can be manipulated. They would then take multiple still pictures of the character, moving the character slightly in between each picture. Together we will be creating our very own clay animation film, edit the frames together to create a film with sound track. Each participant will receive a copy of the animation film they worked on.
